Fall Inspiration – Dressing for The Workspace | Petite

A woman is considered petite when her height is below 5’3in. If this is your case, the most important thing to bare in mind are proportions and always buying clothes that are appropriate to your physic or get them fitted to you.

Fall Inspiration - Dressing for The Workspace | Petite

Look 1:

Vertical stripes elongate the silhouette as does a high waist. Always tuck in your shirt to show off your waist. Skin toned shoes create the illusion of longer legs.

Trend Alert: Feminine style and burgundy.

Look 2:

Fitted dresses, slightly above the knee are the ideal look for petite women. The high waist in this model is a great addition as is the “V” neck  which creates the idea of a long neck. Pump shoes that leave the instep on display are the most suitable as they lengthen the legs.

Trend Alert: Olive green and the return of the bucket-bag.

Look 3:

Straight leg pants and high waists are the most flattering. Wear them long, covering most of the shoe-heel and you will have legs for days. Wearing a single color gives you height and more freedom when choosing the shoes to go with it. Always mind the size of your bag and jewelry. They must be proportional, meaning they must have a moderate size.

Trend Alert: Suede shoes and suede in general.
